'Someone's in the Kitchen' was recorded in the kitchen of the home of D. Dee Petri, and it is what you could call an electro-acoustic improvisation to some extent. Small bits were slightly pre-arranged, then the tape started and semi-improvised performances occurred. High tech electronics, kitchen utensils, children's toys, a guitar with effects, and sounds of the human body were used. This was a very enjoyable recording project done in an evening by a group of good friends. The group was put in a context (by the recording format) that challenged them to create in different ways, and the experience was very positive.
